Dalawna Duncan was my husband's nurse in ICU and I am grateful for her amazing care of my husband, her gentle and kind manner towards me, our son, and the rest of our family; it was something that none of us will ever forget. She seemed to "just know" when we needed more information, or an explanation of what was happening in my husband's care, but most of all, she always had a hug - and freely gave them to us - she treated us like family.
She somehow took away a lot of the fear that we all felt, had a calming effect on my husband when he, too, was fearful. Because of her exceptional way with people, we knew everything would be okay - and it has been!
