My mom was admitted with a fractured hip and was having a difficult time. I was really worried about my mom and did not want her to be alone until I knew she could handle the medications, eat and talk. I needed to help my dad for awhile but was hesitant to leave my mom. Dale went above and beyond and sat with my mom until I could return. Not only did she sit with her, she also fed her broth, jello and provided juice and water. Dale is truly an angel and our family appreciates her caring spirit, her kindness, and dedication.

My wife underwent hip surgery. The surgery, required because of a fall the day before, which fractured her hip in four places, implanted a rod in her leg from her hip to her knee, which was attached to her hip with a screw.
The care that Nurse Dale Gass gave my wife during the evening hours not only touched my heart but also made a meaningful difference in L's great recovery up to this point.
Dale volunteered her assistance after surgery, sitting by her bedside and taking care of L during those crucial hours. Although she works with our daughter, she did not know L or us at all, yet she voluntarily stepped in to help and, with professionalism and great compassion, took care of L like she was her own, providing a level of care and comfort that was far above our ability to provide.
Her actions went beyond mere professionalism and skill. They represented a spirit of caring and compassion that helped and encouraged both L and our family more than my words can express.
The care given to my wife, by Nurse Gass that night, not only in terms of what she did but how she did it, was extraordinary and represented the very epitome of what a nurse. Thank you, Dale, for your compassion.
