I am writing to nominate my mom's nurse for the DAISY Award in recognition of the extraordinary care, compassion, and professionalism he demonstrated while caring for my mom after her surgery. From the moment we entered the ICU, our family was overwhelmed with worry. But this nominee’s calm presence and expert care immediately put us at ease. What stood out most to me was his unwavering attentiveness and his genuine concern for my mom's well-being.
One moment, in particular, left an impression on our family. My mom had just undergone a major surgery, and while their recovery seemed to be progressing, He noticed something subtle that we hadn’t even been aware of. He picked up on an abnormal heart rhythm that was developing, something we never would have known about if not for his sharp monitoring. Without hesitation, this nominee acted quickly, notifying the team and ensuring that immediate intervention took place. His quick thinking and decisive actions prevented what could have been a complication, potentially delaying recovery or worsening my mom's condition.
