Damaris went above and beyond in her nurse duties. She made me feel like family. I have high anxiety, and she knew just what to say. She advocated to the resident doctor when my surgeon did not come by and provided a plan for surgery that was on the schedule for the next day. She requested something to calm me for a planned MRI after I expressed my concern about even doing an MRI (luckily, the MRI was canceled after the resident suggested another way to find the same results). When I was headed to surgery, she saw that my fear and anxiety were through the roof and came to me to reassure me that I was going to be okay. She hugged me just when I needed it. I'm so grateful for Damaris. She is a gem with compassion. I will forever be grateful!
