Dan has been a real godsend for my mother during her nearly three week stay in the 6th West unit of the hospital. He has answered our questions and explained everything in understandable terms, in times of medical duress he has calmed both me and my mother down and helped us understand exactly what is happening. He has been extremely patient with both me and my mother throughout both her stays. In fact both of us have grown to rely on him quite a lot.
Dan also suggested leaving in the PICC line for my mother when she left the hospital on March 9th and was scheduled to return for surgery and a second extended stay beginning March 14th. He called the doctor with the suggestion and got the necessary agreements from all involved. That proved to be invaluable for Mother.
He has also helped my mother come to terms with the use of the foley catheter as she leaves the hospital. We appreciated all that he did for us.
