Dan Mark Tamayo, RN

I am honored to nominate Mark for the DAISY Award. I have had the honor of having Mark as my nurse a few times during my stays here at LCM hospital. The very first time that Mark was my nurse, he spent so much time with me to better understand the conditions that brought me here. No matter how many times I’ve been hospitalized, I am still anxious upon arrival. But Mark immediately puts me at ease. He goes above and beyond to provide me with comfort. Mark takes the time to go over my medications and what each one is for, as well as any possible side effects. I know how very busy the nurses are, yet Mark treats me as though I am his only patient. Mark was also clinically excellent – providing me with skillful, knowledgeable care. Mark checked in on me frequently to make sure I was comfortable. He is awesome and gets my sense of humor. I felt completely safe and cared for by him. Thank you, Mark, and thank you to all who contributed to hiring him. You have all helped me! Thank you.
