On May 19, 2014, I was in for a procedure where they shoot dye into the vein and fix a blockage. When I get back to my room I am told that I have to have a bypass operation the next day. The doctor told me I have what they call "The Widow Maker" and the operation had to be done the next day. I was dead set against it! I said, "I'll be back next week." Dan took 45 minutes of his time to comfort me and he made me understand that he really did care about me. I decided to stay for the operation. Mike should be mentioned too as he also talked to me with Dan. They are life savers. Everyone on your staff is just great. I know there is not a better place to go than your hospital. I tell everyone how great you are there.

Dan was excellent with my son. He really made a difficult situation seem like a walk in the park. Not only did he calm my son down, but gave us peace and comfort throughout the whole process and stay at Orange Coast. His bedside manner is above and beyond what we have seen and should really be recognized as an awesome nurse.

Daniel was a big factor in convincing my son the importance of knowing his open heart surgery sooner rather than later. Such a compassionate young man. The very best always to him.
