Dana was caring for an antepartum patient who had been on the unit for over 30 days. She was pregnant with twins at 28 weeks gestation. The patient told Dana she was having some abdominal pain. Dana recognized that something was off. Dana, trusting her intuition, paged the senior physician and asked them to come and evaluate the patient. The provider team arrived to perform an exam and found one of the twins' feet in her vaginal canal. An emergent cesarean section was performed. Dana recognized subtle changes in the patient's condition and collaborated with the team to provide the best possible outcome for the twins and their mom. Dana is an advocate.
