Dana Buttree, RN

Dana went above and beyond for a patient in the CVICU. He was discharged home and was admitted for noncompliance with medication. She worked so hard with this patient making sure he knew what meds to take and when after going through the discharge summary, she learned he couldn't read. She then began to call multiple family members and friends so he could properly take care of his medications. She comforted him when he became tearful and scared that he would mess up his medications. She truly put him first throughout the whole process.

Dana called multiple family members and worked with multiple family members to make sure everyone was as educated as they could be to properly take care of him and his medications. She was so stressed out when she learned that he wouldn't be able to properly take care of himself and went above and beyond with this patient and family. I'm so proud of her.
