Dana Dipinto, BSN, RN

I work the second shift at the VA. I was suffering from chest pains. I am not a veteran, so I was a little hesitant to go to the ER. Fortunately, I went, and Dana was my nurse. I was really concerned about getting care at the VA, and my BP was high. Dana constantly made me feel comfortable, as if I were one of her patients, which had to be that night. I'm so grateful she made me comfortable enough to stay and be seen because it turns out I had bilateral pulmonary embolism in my lungs. I was going to waive it off as a quirky symptom, but Dana assured me to stay and get my testing. If I didn't stay, I don't know if I would have made it through the night with the blood clots. Thank you, Dana, for always being a ray of sunshine. Her attitude has never changed from working with her and now being her patient.
