Firstly, she was kind. She took time out of her schedule to make sure my daughter was extremely well cared for. Not only did she find her crayons and coloring sheets, but she also found many types of food to try. I know that nursing is busy and a very hard job. You wouldn't even question it with Dana. She comes into the room every time with a smile on her face and a willingness to answer any questions. She called the doctors and acted quickly. Our family has had a hard time in the last 6 months with illness, including myself, who was diagnosed with cancer in September. Caring for a 15-year-old who needed that loving physical care was an intimidating task. You never know what is going on in someone's life outside of the hospital. I truly feel honored to have Dana as my daughter's nurse. This nurse is a huge contribution to this hospital. She had my daughter laughing and smiling during one of the worst exacerbations I've seen so far. Thank you for all the hard work.
