Dana Frascino, RN

Dana is a wonderful nurse whom I have learned so much from. Whenever I had a question, she always availed herself. During our coworker's time on maternity, Dana seamlessly took over the position of Nurse Manager and the many challenges it came with, while also maintaining her duties as a clinic nurse and her polite and easygoing sentiment. She showed us all how exceptional leadership can fuel a team, how growth and learning are an ongoing process.

When facing days when the clinic was short-staffed or when providers were added on to the schedule without the clinical staff's awareness, she handled it in a regal and compassionate way towards staff, patients, and family members. Examples of this were by informing the patient and family that there would be a longer wait time before seeing the provider, informing echo techs beforehand to take the patients first to accommodate the busy schedule and decrease wait time, or working with the lead echo tech to find what additional rooms in the clinic could be used to keep the clinic moving. She also worked with management often to responsibly schedule clinic days to fit the budget, prevent staff burnout, and promote patient safety. She has shown me nothing short of excellence and is a hero to so many of us
