Dana called the stroke alert immediately making a difference in the patient outcome.
EMS had dropped off a patient and the assumption was alcohol or drug intoxication. Dana immediately thought it was something else. She took the initiative to approach me and asked that I see the patient next for she was worried about her. We ordered a head CT and turned out that the patient was having a hemorrhagic stroke! Dana called the stroke alert immediately making a difference in the patient outcome. Great job for picking up on things and taking the initiative in caring for your patient!
