In her nomination, a young patient explained how comfortable Dana made them feel before surgery. "She has superpowers, and I felt comfortable with her," the patient said. "She and my mommy held my hands and talked to me until I left for surgery. After surgery, when I went to the third floor, she had hot Cheetos (my favorite) and a teddy bear waiting for me with a sweet note. Dana Jackson is my superhero, and I will always love her and remember how sweet she was to me during a tough time."
