It was a very chaotic, busy afternoon in the Emergency Department. Two patients ended up intubated. Dana managed the patients in the ED who were still coming in, answered phones, and was a great resource for me and another nurse who was caring for these patients. Her knowledge and experience speak volumes. Thanks for being here on this shift you picked up! Dana called in extra staff and notified other departments to assist in the ED. Dana smoothly "captained" the ship. Things could have quickly gone bad due to the acuity of our ED patients, but Dana made sure all patients were triaged, orders put in, transfers arranged, and staff called in. THANK YOU, DANA!
