Dana is a lifesaver!!!! She's a very caring and compassionate person. I was recently at or should I say currently at Orange Coast Memorial and it was a long, stressful stay due to the fact of me losing someone in my life who was like a father to me. Worker's Comp was taking forever to approve anything for me, so it seemed like there was no hope for me making the funeral. This made me so sad and upset me to my core. After hearing my situation, Dana jumped through hoops and was on the phone constantly with my case workers and Worker's Comp case managers trying to see what was going on with my case for what seemed like days…. She heard me talking about how I wanted to attend this funeral so badly and didn't want to miss it or the fact that if my wife left I would be stuck in Fountain Valley without a ride back to where I drove down from. She took it upon herself to make some calls and talk to some doctors and came into the room with the news that I was going to be released.
Dana's heart is so big and truly cares about her patients on a whole other level. She didn't have to do any of this but she did! That is why I am nominating her for the DAISY Award. God bless Dana for having such a big heart and caring when she really had so many other patients and responsibilities!Thank you for everything Nurse Dana and God bless your big ol' heart!
