Dana came to interview for a job on 3 West (medical/surgical/medical oncology/bariatrics) before we opened. She arrived wearing a big smile and her mother's pearls and a pretty blouse and skirt outfit. I could tell that someone loved her very much to make sure she dressed so nicely for her interview. She hit the ground running, helping to set up the entire unit by helping to unpack equipment and supplies. It was clear that she had a lot of spunk and was willing to do whatever was needed, even get dirty to get the job done well. She has maintained that attitude throughout her employment here and is a valuable resource for her patients, co-workers, and the leadership of her department. It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to watch her grow and mature as a nurse.
