Dana Pasley RN is the winner of the 2020 DAISY Award. Dana works on the Surgical unit. Dana is loved by her patients and her fellow coworkers. Her positive attitude, compassionate and caring ways are what is mentioned by her coworkers and her patients. If her patient needs education, she is always so helpful to explain patiently and clearly, and when she comes back to check on her patients, they are happy to see her, and you can tell how much she has given of herself to them by the way they reach out for her hand or how they are so appreciative of the care she has given to them. Her fellow coworkers benefit from her awesomeness as well. When you need a shoulder to cry on Dana gives the best hugs and will listen and wipe away tears, if you need an IV started, she is willing to help. Like others, Dana was so helpful to the Med Surg nurses when she came and worked overnights during the COVID pandemic. Dana first received a paper daisy pin from Jessica in 2018, in 2019 she received a real daisy pin, and now today is recognized nationally by her peers as an exceptional nurse. Dana is the real deal. She is our 2020 DAISY Award winner and is deserving of this award.
