She talked to me and put me in the right state of mind to face the new challenge and way of life I was facing.
I am 60 years old, surprised and in shock that my leg needed to be amputated. I am mad at the world and not sure I will even do anything to help myself; my attitude and outlook are a very bad light to me. Dana was my nurse on day 3, and she recognized that I was only sleeping, not really functioning. She let me sleep off my meds, which I love her for. I was never in pain with her, but I was able to function. She was the ray of sunshine that God sent to me to get my head in the right place. She encouraged me and was so kind, and she had a positive energy. She talked to me and put me in the right state of mind to face the new challenge and way of life I was facing. If she didn't help me, I don't really think I would be in the place I am now, getting ready to go home with a new look at the new challenges coming my way! I am positive and ready to face my new life without my limb. Thank you Dana I truly love you for being the best nurse I have ever seen. Thank you for knowing what I needed and getting me in the best frame of mind with a new aspect, respect, and positive life I am facing. Thank you, Dana; I will never forget you!
