The three of us returning from our annual NICU Reunion and we were talking about how big and beautiful the children have grown. We were walking through the Seidman Hallway to the "A" elevators. Suddenly Dana says, "Can I help you, sir?" I didn't even notice the gentleman attempting to walk beside his wheelchair that was filled with personal possessions in a large-flowered bag. The gentleman hesitated for a moment then finally sighed and responded "Well, usually my wife pushes me, but I'm going to elevator B to the 5th floor to visit her." Dana responded, "Here let me help you" she removed the heavy bag and had the gentleman sit down. "You can just take me to elevator B and I'll be fine," the man said. Dana said, "Don't you worry, tell me about your wife" and off she went with this gentleman to take him to his wife. Dana said to us "I'll see you upstairs". This is just one example of how wonderful she is as a nurse and peer. She is a role model for all of us.
