I was scheduled to get my usual three time a week treatment. Dana accessed my port, and I vomited and became unresponsive temporarily. Dana yelled for help and helped to get me into the bed until the ambulance arrived. I really do not remember much from this day other than Dana accessed my port and I was taken to the hospital by ambulance. I was discharged home a couple of days later. Fast forward a month, my husband was admitted to the ICU in York. Because of the circumstances, I was not permitted to be with him and only received calls once per day with updates. I really struggled mentally and emotionally. Dana was a real encouragement to me during this very difficult time. My husband passed away two weeks later. Dana has continued to make sure I am taking care of myself and has truly gone above and beyond. Dana has been a bright light in this very dark time of my life.
