...DaNae is my role model, mentor, and the kind of nurse I aspire to be. She inspires me everyday and wants me to do even more for my patient to make sure their needs have not just been met, but they also feel the impact of what we did for them and their families. Something I noticed while working with DaNae is that getting to learn from her is invaluable. Her positive attitude and charming smile is truly infectious and the patients and co-workers love her great spirit. DaNae always strives to go above and beyond for her patients and co-workers and brings lots of positive energy when she is at work. She does not waste any time at work and is a great team player. If she is done with her work, or just waiting for an OR admit, she will not just sit there but always help her co-workers whether it has to do with drawing labs, turning a patient, transferring a patient to 3rd floor, or relieving her co-workers for a lunch.

I remember one day she was waiting for her OR admit, so she even went to another unit for an hour to help them out since they were short staffed while waiting on her admission. In addition to all her great qualities, DaNae is also a great preceptor and the new staff appreciates her passion for teaching and nursing and learns a lot from her during their orientation. Also, DaNae has been a super user for Cerner and has always been available to help staff when needed. I am very honored and grateful to work with DaNae.
