My journey began after a procedure. Upon arrival via ambulance, I was treated for pain and fluids but given a much-reduced regimen of pain management. The records were not 100% clear as to how much opioids I was receiving from the other hospital. Within 8-12 hours of arriving, I began having severe opioid withdrawal which was the worst thing I've ever felt. Daneisha recognized the signs and symptoms and they immediately put a plan into action to get me tapered off the Dilaudid. Daneisha is an outstanding, kind, empathetic nurse that I feel saved my life and should be recognized for her foresight and helping to coordinate a safe plan. Thank you, Daneisha.
