Danette helped me through three days of a difficult time when I was getting 2 growth hormone factor shots, and the bone pain was excruciating. I confided in her that I was not sure I could make it and thought I was dying on the third night. She took my hand and asked if there was anything she could do to help me put my affairs in order. She then proceeded to comfort me with compassion and care. She said they would take the best possible care of me. I felt a presence of God help me through the night, along with Danette’s caring, compassionate and comforting presence. I did make a recovery from total bed rest to up and walking in two weeks and was able to get out of bed. Danette’s offer to help me through what I thought were some of my last moments was so appreciated and made all the difference in my care. She deserves to win this award.
