My husband was a fighter, he had beaten cancer before and always pushed through to be there for our family. He was truly the most loving and caring man. The night we had Dani as our nurse, she went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable but also sat with me and my family to listen as we told stories.

I had concerns about making him comfort care and wondered if it was the right decision because he had been through so much and always came out ahead. This nurse held my hand and listened to my concerns. I will never forget the compassion she showed as she offered kind words. She kept telling me there were no wrong choices and that I needed to do what was best for my husband and our family. She sat with him so I could get some sleep because she knew I was concerned when he would pull the mask off his face. She held his hand and assured him he was safe and let him know that I was always right next to him. I felt better knowing she was there, as she would inform me as things changed and always explained what she was doing. I will never forget the kindness Dani showed us during the worst night of my life.
