Danica displayed a level of compassion "Above and Beyond" for an adolescent eating disorder patient in Pediatrics. The patient was supposed to graduate from High School, but here she was, stuck in the hospital. Danica undertook staging a graduation march, in our halls, with staff lined up to applaud her, as "Pomp and Circumstance" played on Danica's phone. Danica had brought a cap and gown for the patient to wear. This graduation exercise gave this young patient an opportunity to experience (in some way) the milestone of high school graduation. She was beaming!
