We have received multiple nominations over the past year for Daniel from both his teammates on 6 North, a medical Floor in Medical Surgical Section, as well as countless patients. As an LPN, he has had considerable impact on unit function, yet it frequently goes unnoticed as he is a humble and modest nurse. According to a senior nurse on the floor, "He never complains, he is the “spine” of 6N, supporting staff “in every situation.” He is one of the most caring individuals I have ever met. He frequently goes above and beyond the call of duty. In one shift, he completed five ultrasound guided IV insertions on some very difficult patient sticks, jumped in to help during a Rapid Response, while also providing quality care for his own patients, all without a word! Another staff member said his hard work and morale boosting attitude is the mainstay of that busy unit and he so deserves to be recognized!
