I just wanted to send an email to acknowledge Dan Edsall. I think he is an amazing nurse. He always goes above and beyond to help out other nurses and patients when he is working. He works so hard and is always in a positive mood with a smile. I can't count how many times I hear him ask "Do you need help with anything?" to techs, nurses, and providers every shift. 

I want to acknowledge him today for helping one of our chronic dialysis patients. There was a social issue, and when Dan heard about it, he immediately came to help. He was not on the team taking care of this patient but came over and talked to him. He truly cares about him, and the patient was tearful because he felt cared for and appreciated (he said for the first time in a long time).  

It is evident how much Dan cares about patients, colleagues, and his work. I just want to recognize not only how good of a nurse he is clinically, but, more importantly how much he cares about every patient. 

Daniel has been a FirstChoice colleague working in the Ann Arbor ED, where he has provided exceptional patient care for over 2 years. Daniel is kind, compassionate, and deeply cares for his patients and coworkers. We feel very fortunate to have him as a TH colleague.
