Hi! My name is H, and I am 7 years old. I have unfortunately been admitted to the hospital twice this year, one time for 4 days with Rhinovirus and the next just a few days ago with pneumonia for 3 days. I was having a hard time breathing and was very scared, but when I met one of my nurses, Daniela, she not only made me feel safe, but she also made me feel comfortable and cared for. Daniela always has a smile on her face, and she treats kids like kids, which I think is so important! She talked to me like I was 7 years old, she played with me, and sat with me when my mom needed a break. We shared stories and had great conversations, and when I came back, I immediately started asking everyone in the ER and PEDS 4th floor if Daniela with the Stitch on her stereoscope was working. That proves she made a long-lasting, loving, caring, compassionate, and understanding impression on my heart. I want to thank her with a DAISY Award because she really deserves it so much!!
