Daniela Elizarraras, RN

Daniela came in on her own time to ensure a smooth transition for a fellow UMC RN and DR, whom she is personal friends with, whose infant was being transferred from Nellis Air Force Base to our NICU at UMC due to health concerns. Daniela stayed until the parents arrived and absolutely made the transition to UMC NICU a positive stress-free experience for the parents. The mother of the infant was especially grateful to have Daniela to speak to and have for support during this stressful and scary time as she was unsure what to expect when seeing her baby in the NICU upon arrival, but Daniela was able to calm her anxiety and let her know what to expect in the upcoming hours and days. Daniela’s professionalism and caring attitude were very impressive and show the true quality of the people we have working here at UMC and she deserves to be recognized for her selfless gesture.
