Fui internada en la UTI por una descomposición por la cirrosis hepática (ascitis, encefalopatía y problemas en los riñones).

Desde el primer momento fue muy cercana, humana y empática. Me sentí muy cuidada por el equipo de cuidados intermedios, en especial por Daniela.

Respondió a todas mis dudas, me ayudó a escribir en la pizarra todos los nombres del equipo y así poder relacionarme con ellos por su nombre.

Me inyecto muchas intravenosas y vías con cariño y mucha experiencia. Lo que se traduce en ausencia de dolor.

Me hizo compañía en los momentos más dolorosos y angustiosos. Me dio la mano y secó mis lágrimas. Me abrazo.

Disfrutamos nuestro amor por los perros.

Su seguridad en los procedimientos médicos me ayudó a sentirme segura en todo momento. Su puntualidad en la administración de remedios nunca falló.

Siempre fue dulce y logramos una amistad.

Cuando me llevaron a hacer un TIPS y el trasplante de hígado, ella estuvo ahí.

Aprovecho para agradecerle a todo el equipo de la UTi por ser mi familia en ese mes y medio.

I was admitted to the ICU due to a decompensation caused by liver cirrhosis (ascites, encephalopathy, and kidney problems).

From the very beginning, she was very close, caring, human, and empathetic. I felt very well cared for by the intermediate care team, especially by Daniela.

She answered all of my questions, helped me write down all the names of the team members on the board, and that way I was able to relate to them by their names.

She gave me many intravenous injections and placed IV lines with kindness and great experience. This translated into an absence of pain.

She comforted me during the most painful and distressing moments. She held my hand and dried my tears. She hugged me.

We shared our love for dogs.

Her confidence in medical procedures helped me feel safe at all times. Her punctuality in administering medications never failed.

She was always sweet, and we developed a friendship.

When I was taken to have a TIPS procedure and a liver transplant, she was there.

I take this opportunity to thank the entire ICU team for being my family during that month and a half.
