Daniela Merales, BSN, RN

Daniela is one of the most compassionate nurses that I have ever met. No matter what is thrown at her, she always has a smile on her face and will continue to provide the best/safest care for her patients. She has been through a lot of tough situations in her first year as a nurse, but she continues to smile. She also coordinated with our management/certified translators and translated one of our most commonly used protocols in our unit to provide for our families/patients who are Spanish-speaking and sometimes struggle with remembering the protocol rules, as it was only provided in English with an in-person translator to review them. This allows our Spanish-speaking families to read over the protocol independently before/after it is discussed with an appropriate translator and have it easily accessible at the bedside.
