I would like to thank my nurse, Daniela for the outstanding care she delivered to my mother. We have been in and out of HCA Pearland for the past 4 months due to my mother’s illness. She was professional and personable. She takes the time to explain what is happening and how they were treating my mom’s condition. This last admission we decided to place my mother on comfort care. This was a struggle for me because as her daughter, I wanted to do everything for my mom but as a nurse, I knew I wasn’t doing my mom justice. I voiced my concerns to Daniela and she was so kind to me. She went out of her way to put me at ease which meant so much to me. She listened to me as I struggled to find the best option for my mother. I appreciated her for being so understanding as I kept questioning, “Am I doing the right thing?”. I appreciated her taking a moment to pull up a chair and sitting down with me to have a conversation with me and my family. She was very open to answering any questions we had.

We placed my mother in Hospice and Daniela was very helpful with walking my father through this process. My Dad is very grateful for Daniela. I will always remember Daniela as being one of the finest nurses we could have ever hoped for. I am an HCA employee myself and this nurse was truly caring for my family. She truly exhibited our mission statement, “above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.”
