Daniela brought me a turkey sandwich and snacks. She made me coffee and walked me to the coffee shop the next day because I was afraid of getting lost in the hospital.
My seven-month-old daughter had surgery and I was scared I didn’t know what to expect. I was on the verge of having a panic attack and I was worried about who her nurse was going to be. Daniela helped me forget all about my anxiety. In a way, she was my nurse too, not just my daughter's. She truly provided exceptional hospitality and care. She was diligent and honest. She was patient and understanding. She was kind.

I wasn’t going to leave my daughter's side when she got into the recovery room, but I was starved and feeling sick. Daniela brought me a turkey sandwich and snacks. She made me coffee and walked me to the coffee shop the next day because I was afraid of getting lost in the hospital. She walked with me and talked to me like a friend would. Not only did she provide my daughter with the care she needed, but she also went above and beyond by making a connection with me and my daughter while we were in her care.

I was worried when it was time for her to leave at the end of the day because I didn’t know who the night shift nurse was going to be and to my surprise, I felt immense relief when she reassured me, she would be back in the morning. She listened to me and was patient with me while I probably asked the same question a million times. Anytime I needed something she handled it for me. And if she didn’t have the answer to something, she was on the phone getting the answer for me. I’ve never experienced that kind of care or compassion from a nurse before.

When it was time to leave, she was very thorough with our discharge instructions and made sure we were comfortable going home and understanding how to manage my daughter's pain. It didn’t feel right leaving the hospital without giving this nurse a hug first.
