Daniella always goes above and beyond for the entire surgical department. As a general surgery coordinator, Daniella always makes sure the surgical team is well-prepared. She frequently updates preference cards and looks ahead at equipment and staffing needs for major cases in order to ensure optimum patient outcomes. Not only does Daniella look after her general surgery team, but she is also an active advocate for patients hospital-wide; for example, she is the lead OR nurse behind the NICU warming protocol collaboration. As a lead preceptor, Daniella goes above and beyond to make sure all staff are educated on every detail big or small.

One of Daniella's best traits is treating everyone with the same level of kindness and respect, no matter if you are a medical student or an experienced fellow. While working as travelers, Daniella has never made us feel like an outsider. She has always made us feel included and welcomed at Rady Children's.

As a nurse who wears many hats and has a lot on her plate, Daniella is never one to turn down an additional task in order to help out patients and the team. Daniella is a true role model and inspiration to everyone who is lucky enough to work beside her.
