Today we began comfort cares for our mother, and my dad was still having a difficult time with the decision. Danielle was amazing! She spent time with me and my sister and then later my dad, explaining comfort care; specifically, IV's being removed and how it impacts patient wellbeing and why it is a kind vs. cruel step to take to ensure my mom's last days are comfortable. Her kindness and patience with us made a difficult day bearable.
