Her compassion and persistence — I can’t speak of or praise her enough.
Recently, the distributor of her Pleurx vacuum bottles notified us that L’s insurance would no longer pay for her bottles with them, for they are no longer in their network.
My wife, L, and I spent the next 2 weeks on the phone with her insurance and what seemed like an endless number of suppliers, only to be told they either didn’t carry her Pleurx supplies or they also weren’t in the network. That’s when Danielle got involved, and we thank God she did. Her compassion and persistence — I can’t speak of or praise her enough. She too was met with a week of everyday calls with the same results as us, but she wouldn’t give up.
Meanwhile, L was down to her last bottles, and her stress levels were climbing. Without being able to drain fluid at home with bottles, L would more than likely end up in the hospital every few days. Like I said, Danielle didn’t stop trying every option she could come up with and was able to find a supplier. She called L and me and gave us the good news: her bottles had been shipped out.
Needless to say, we were incredibly relieved. We can’t speak highly enough of our thankfulness for Danielle. She is an incredible person and one of the most caring, if not the most caring, caregivers that my wife (L) has had the honor to speak with since her diagnosis of cancer over a year ago.
From the bottom of our hearts,
Thank you again, Danielle.
