Danielle provided outstanding nursing care for my wife when she was admitted for chest pains/complications from recent extensive colon surgery. Danielle carried out a variety of tasks to support my wife's wound vac, ileostomy appliance and wound drain, all while maintaining a positive attitude and a courteous supportive demeanor. She met all of my wife's needs with friendliness and patience, yet prioritized her time to provide the same level of support to her other patients on the floor. If the task meant patient comfort, Danielle did it or found the support staff necessary to get it done. When my wife's condition improved so that she could relocate to another floor, Danielle supervised the move and packed my wife's belongings while my wife was out of the room undergoing a procedure and ensured everything was in place for her when she arrived on the new floor. My final comment is based on what my wife's new nurse in her new location said, "Danielle is a great nurse." We couldn't agree more!
