Danielle had a patient who came to ED with a low blood sugar. He shared that she took the time to answer all of his questions even though it was obvious her shift was very busy. She taught him how to do his injections and manage his diabetes differently. He stated he learned more in that one encounter with Danni on how to manage his disease better than he had learned in the 15 years he had been treated by his endocrinologist. He was certain he would not have to return to the ED as a result of the great teaching and care Danni provided. This patient was so impressed by the care she provided that he wrote a letter to the CEO of HCA at the corporate offices in Nashville.
