My wife and I have never stayed in a hospital before -that changed with the arrival of our first child. Already a complicated pregnancy, our whirlwind first time parenting experience took an even more unexpected turn as my wife was admitted overnight because of a drop in the baby's heart rate. As it turned out, the baby would be delivered a month early the next morning. We met a number of wonderful individuals during our stay, but none stood out like Danielle.
First off, the attention to detail she exhibited completely removed our fears and worries. She was prompt, thorough and amazing. She clearly knew her stuff and that was clear in her interactions with other employees. Speaking to doctors she would give her suggestions based on her experience, but still exhibited respect by graciously deferring to doctors if they believed otherwise. It was clear that she is well regarded by others, including other nurses, doctors, lactation specialists - anyone.
But perhaps the most impressive aspect of Danielle is her heart. A medical procedure can be performed by the book, but the compassion and personal side can really impact a recovery. Danielle really opened up to us, joking with us, listening to our stories and sharing her own. It was the friendliness and warmth that made our nearly 2 week stay bearable. She schemed with my wife to get me to out of the hospital so that they could make me a special card for my 1st father's day. We can't thank her enough. Whenever we were under her care, we couldn't have felt safer, more comfortable or cared for.
Thank you, Danielle! And never forget: BEAST MODE FEAST MODE!
