Dawn cared for me during my labor for five hours. I am a physician and many caregivers feel awkward or uncomfortable when I am assigned to them. Dawn treated me as her patient and that is a very blessed person to be. She anticipated my needs, educated and coached me expertly, and was my advocate. She also was efficient and friendly. I was in labor - a painful, vulnerable state - but did not feel it was as intimidating or uncontrolled as it felt in the past. Dawn hugged me goodbye in postpartum and gave a full report to my new nurse. I hugged her back and will remember her and her care forever.
