Danielle Dixon has been an exceptional nurse to my husband and me. She has consistently gone above and beyond listening to my concerns, and frustrations and offering solutions. She has researched what is available to help my husband and then made follow-up calls to me several times. She has also relayed my problems to the doctor in order to seek referrals that were needed. At times when I felt deflated and depleted in taking care of my husband, who has Alzheimer’s, she has been a lifesaver in searching for the help and respite care that is available to me. Danielle’s research contributes to keeping my husband happy and content in his life. As a retired RN, I know how busy she is, but I have never felt rushed. Also when she has been with my husband, she has shown him a high degree of interest and respect. My husband has commented on her exceptional care which is highly unusual for him. Danielle constantly fills the VA’s mission to serve Veterans. She is an advocate in the highest manner. We feel privileged to have her as my husband’s nurse.
