I would like to recognize Danielle Doellman in Blessing Cardiology for the compassion, steadiness, and genuine care she provided to my husband and me during a difficult cardiology journey.

My husband experiences atrial fibrillation (among a few other issues), but he has had several "bumps" along the way. We have navigated procedures, a hospital stay, and ultimately a referral to St. Louis for care. However, the communication about "what's next" ultimately came from our nurse coming into the room to speak with us each time. Danielle was one of those people, and always embodied patience, empathy, and concern for us.

From the beginning, Danielle made it clear that we were supported and never alone. Whether through phone calls, messages in the patient portal, or in-person conversations, her communication was consistently thoughtful, timely, and reassuring. She encouraged questions and created an environment where reaching out for clarification or reassurance never felt like too much. Every interaction left us feeling more confident and cared for.

What stands out most about Danielle is the calm she brought into moments that could have easily felt overwhelming. When emotions ran high, her presence was grounding and reassuring. She had a remarkable ability to ease anxiety simply by being attentive, kind, and fully present—not rushed, not dismissive, just genuinely there.

As we move through a season that naturally invites reflection on heart health, it feels especially meaningful to recognize a nurse who understands that caring for the heart also means caring for the people attached to it. Danielle supported not just the medical process, but the emotional experience that came with it, and that made a lasting difference for us.

Danielle Doellman truly embodies the spirit of the DAISY Award, and we are deeply grateful for the care and compassion she shared with us.

Thank you, Danielle, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
