I don't think there are enough words to describe what Danielle means to our family. Danielle went above and beyond her job description to be there for our family during our extremely difficult time. Danielle was our daughter's primary night nurse during our stay at AFCH. One night one of our stay, Danielle saved our daughter's life when she had a cardiac arrest. Later in the weeklong stay, we had found out that our daughter's condition was much worse than we had thought. Danielle was there to support not only my daughter but my husband and me too. On the day we decided to take out her breathing tube, Danielle stayed past her shift to be with us. Later that evening, when she wasn't scheduled to work, she came in to check on us. Not only that, after our daughter had passed, they called Danielle and she came back in to be with us and help me give our daughter a bath and prep her one last time. Danielle was with us and support us during the worst day and time of our lives. She went above and beyond her job description as a nurse. We owe so much to Danielle for all her love and support. Another special thing Danielle did for us was make a footprint memento for us, which is incredibly special to us. She will also be incredibly special to our family and we think about her often.
