I witnessed this nurse advocate for her patient, who was hypotensive, diaphoretic, and pale. The patient had low BP all day, and the provider ordered fluid boluses. Danielle reviewed labs and assessed the patient. Danielle advocated for the patient's needs, including a CT scan, following a drop in the patient's hemoglobin. The patient was post-surgery from a cancer procedure, so she was scared. Danielle went above and beyond to ensure the patient felt comfortable and was being cared for.
