I had been in and out of the unit for days because of debilitating pain I was experiencing in my side. I was finally told that the doctors recommended I get my gallbladder removed. I was slightly in a panic because I was only 18 days postpartum from a cesarean section.

Danielle was such a fantastic nurse to me. She listened to all my concerns. She joked and laughed with me after my surgery, which I absolutely needed to feel sane again. She was so patient with me.

Danielle was also the nurse who helped me with my discharge paperwork and everything that comes with going home after a hospital stay. She was extremely thorough and made sure I knew my at-home instructions for the best recovery I could have. Danielle brought me to the hospital pharmacy so I could pick up my medication and brought me right out to the entrance so I could leave.

We had good conversations about life, and she made me feel like a person and not just a number or another patient who didn’t matter. Although we talked about other things that were not medical, she was very professional and never stopped being a nurse.

I can’t explain how much it meant to me the way she treated me with so much care and respect.

Thank you, Danielle! You were made for this.
