Danielle McCarthy, APRN
Danielle was the nurse practitioner who cared for me during my surgery at Lakeland Regional/ There were many complications to the surgery. Danielle was there with me the whole time.
At one point, they thought that I was going into a diabetic coma because I had filled with fluids around my heart. She stayed by my side and kept coming back and kept watching me. When she thought that I was slipping into some kind of coma, Danielle woke me and kept me awake and well cared for.
Not only did she make me feel well cared for, but she made me feel like she was my friend. I cannot say enough good things about her. She was kind, knowledgeable, caring, and definitely an outstanding example to anyone who needs reassurance and love during surgery.
