Even though Danielle has only been in our department for a few years, there are so many things to say about her. When you think about what a compassionate and caring nurse is you think of Danielle as a role model for this ideal nurse. She is patient focused, yet she takes the time to help her co-workers. The team relies on her in many situations and especially during catastrophic events in the department. During these events she is there to support the patients; families help her co-workers and she is a true leader.

Besides her role as a nurse there is a unique function that Danielle contributes to the unit. This role is that of a Bereavement resource for her co-workers. This role is vital to a department that she works in. It is a service that is not needed often but when a family does need this service it is vital.
