I nominated Danielle because when I came into the hospital, I was supposed to be in for an overnight stay for having my thyroid removed. I ended up getting really sick and turned into an IMCU patient for my calcium levels dropping very low. I ended up needing a PICC line inserted, so a calcium drip could run safely.
It was such a pleasure having Danielle as my RN for an entire three days while I was sick. She took the time to explain everything to me. It felt like she cared about me and my well-being. She was very compassionate and reassured me that I would get better. She knew exactly what I was going through and used her professional expertise to help me get better. She has excellent bedside manners and even went through a great deal to make sure my husband was comfortable as he stayed to watch over me. She always kept me very well informed of everything that was going on.
Danielle made numerous trips into my room just to check on me to see if I needed anything. She is truly a RUSH nurse that deserves this award because she truly demonstrated all five of your core values taking care of me the entire three days she was with me.
