Danielle was recognized after making a big impression on a patient who had developed an infection while recovering from surgery. The patient expressed her gratitude to Danielle for going above and beyond to provide compassionate and exceptional care.
Danielle was immediately concerned when the patient developed a fever and swelling, which prolonged her hospital stay. The patient was impressed by the way she took charge of the situation, calling in another nurse and the doctor for assistance. "Danielle kept digging for resources and answers. She was extremely attentive and she fought for me," the patient wrote. "I am very grateful for Danielle. She lives up to Sarah Bush Lincoln's motto, 'Trusted Compassionate Care!'"
